Every year my fam has a tradition where we decorate the house with hundreds of lights and yard ornaments and we do the big lighting at exactly 6:30pm at night on Thanksgiving Day. And we grab our folding lawn chairs and our coats, plug in the boombox with christmas music, and our fireworks.
All the neighbors get outside and stand in front of the house, counting down the seconds until the lights turn on.
It's quite suspenseful, actually.
So we sit outside. and as it turns 6:30:00:00 pm, my dad flicks the big daddy switch and BAM!!! It's a Grizwald family christmas all over again.
Then after standing there for 15 minutes, attempting to take in all the lights.
we watch the movie "National Lampoon's Chevy Chase Family Christmas Vacation"
