hearing [band] aid

Music is much more beautiful when you listen to it with your eyes closed.
When one sense is shut off, the others grow stronger.
Homework, for all of you.
At night, as you retire to your comfy sheets and blankets a top a wooden frame and cushion of springs or foam, lay flat on your bed, with earphones in both of your ears, playing on a very minimum volume (make sure everyone else is asleep, for quiet is best), listen to your favorite song (resist the temptation to sing) with your eyes open at first. Then, close your eyes and replay the song. Focus on every pitch, every word, every volume. Focus on the instruments. Separate them. Chase them. Figure out what it means to you. Notice how you have a totally different perspective when your surroundings, abilities change. When you temporarily visually disable yourself and isolate yourself, you start to notice things a lot differently rather than being distracted with chaos and letting your eyes wander.
Let Music Be Your Guardian. It Will Lead You.
